Looking for a law enforcement themed craft to do with your kids? These 7 super cute police officer crafts for kids will be just what you need!
My son is really big into art projects. I think some of it is normal kid stuff, but I also think I can thank Creative Galaxy on Amazon for a lot of it.
There’s nothing like calling a 4-year-old to dinner and having him respond, “But I’m working on my art!” I didn’t think I’d hear that until his moody teenage years 😉
In any case, blending his love of art with his love of Daddy and police officers in general seemed like the natural thing to do! So I went searching on Pinterest for other bloggers’ ideas for cute police officer crafts, and man. There were a ton!
I chose my favorites of the lot for this list, and I hope they’ll help you come Father’s Day… or Police Week, or for a birthday, or any other occasion where something cute and handmade could come in handy!
7 Simply Adorable Police Officer Crafts For Kids
Paper Plate Police Car Craft
How cute is this idea from Glued To My Crafts?
Best of all, it just uses a paper plate, some construction paper, and some tissue paper (plus glue and staples), all of which you probably already have around the house.
Check out the full instructions for this here: Paper Plate Cars (she has lots of other ideas for this particular project, too!)
Police Hat Craft
Believe it or not, there are a lot of patterns for DIY police hats for kids on Pinterest – but this one from Just A Dab Of Glue Will Do is by far my favorite! It’s still pretty simple, but ends up super cute.

Juice Box Police Radio Craft
How adorable are these juice box police radios from Education.com?
They’re super simple and cute, plus a great way to reuse something that would otherwise get trashed (or at least, give it a little further mileage before it gets trashed… let’s be honest.)
You can find the full instructions here: Juice Box Police Radio Craft
DIY Toy Police Handcuffs
This is another craft from Create Your Own Toys that’s great for reusing stuff destined for the trash/recycling bin! It just requires a paper towel tube and some foil, and you’ll have an excellent pair of toy handcuffs.
I mean, my son loves playing with my hubby’s real handcuffs, but I do have a very real fear that he’ll get stuck in them and I won’t be able to find a handcuff key…. So these are kind of a great alternative.

Police Car Perler Bead Pattern
My son and I recently discovered Perler beads! Maybe they’re not all that new to you, but I had never actually used them as a kid – so they were new for both of us.
I found this pattern while I was perusing Pinterest, and I couldn’t find the darn source (grr!) but the idea is super fun!

Police Car Footprint Craft
I actually used this post from The Keeper of the Cheerios to make my husband a Christmas gift for my son’s first Christmas a few years ago, and he loved it so much! My son actually tried to re-claim it as his own recently, so it was definitely a hit all around 🙂
But footprint crafts are fun, easy, and super sentimental! I love the idea of making a police car out of your kiddo’s footprints.
She has instructions for all kinds of “community helper” footprint crafts on her main blog, so be sure to check them out!
Blank Police Badge Craft
These blank printable police badges from Print Color Fun are super versatile! You can let toddlers go nuts scribbling all over them, or use them as a template to cut cardboard from then wrap in foil for shiny badges for older kids.
However you do it, these free printable police badges are sure to be a hit.

So yeah – no matter what your kids are into craft-wise, I’m sure you can find something on this list to fill your afternoon 🙂
