Being a police wife is hard, right? The fear, the long nights alone, and the solo parenting are just a few of the tough things that come with a law enforcement marriage. It takes a strong woman.
And when you’re that strong woman, I think the one thing that makes up for all that lousiness is how dang proud you are of your husband.
Whether you’re completely new to this life or you’ve been living it for years, it’s hard not to be proud of the work your husband does. I mean, he puts himself in danger every single day to take care of total strangers.
Tell me you don’t want to shout that from the rooftops – especially when support for law enforcement is a little thin. It makes you want to show your support for your man even more.
Luckily, there are lots of options to do so. Whether it’s attending his graduation from the police academy (yay!) and you want something special to wear, or you’re just in search of something to wear when you’re running errands, there’s something that’ll suit your needs perfectly.
Super Cute Thin Blue Line Clothing Ideas For Every Occasion
Casual
Personally, this is what I usually wear. I’m very much a jeans-and-t-shirt kind of girl. Between momming and wifing and taking-care-of-the-house-ing, I just don’t have the energy to get dolled up every day. Maybe when we don’t have little ones running around all the time, but not right now.
In any case, my hands-down favorite source for police wife apparel in general and T-shirts specifically is from Thin Blue Line USA. I can’t tell you how much I love them. They’re by far my most-worn t-shirts because they’re super soft, plus they’re longer than the average T-shirt. That’s a must, because I have a longer torso and don’t like risking anything showing when I crouch down to help my toddler.
They’re also extremely reasonably priced (generally around $20 each) – plus, you can use the coupon code LOVEBLUES15 for 15% off 🙂 Which makes them an even better deal.
My personal favorites right now:
Long Sleeved Heart Tee, $22.99 – Respect Flag Tee, $19.99 – Long-Sleeved Flag Tee, $22.99
Dressy
There are plenty of LEO-related occasions for which something fancy and blue can come in handy. Police academy graduation? Awards ceremony? Hey, the occasional date night? You’re definitely going to need something cute around for these.
And even if the occasion isn’t actually police-related, it doesn’t mean you can’t dress the part.
Plus, I personally enjoy an excuse to get all dressed up, since like I said, it’s pretty rare.
In any case, while there aren’t really thin-blue-line-specific dresses out there, there are plenty of gorgeous blue dresses around. My favorites – by far – are from ModCloth. I like the more vintagey-styled ones, and even though they’re a little on the pricier side, they’re nice quality and I just like their company in general.
If you want your outfit to be a little more police-oriented, you can always add a police wife accessory or two. The simplicity of these dresses lends well to personalizing a little. You can also easily dress them up or down depending on what accessories you choose. Gotta love multi-functional pieces 😉
Understated Sophistocation Dress, $79 – Lend a Glam Dress, $89 – Sleeveless Chiffon Cocktail Dress, $79
Dressed to Frill Dress, $65 – Flourishing Finesse Dress, $69
At the Gym
If I’m being totally honest, I’m a little out of the habit of working out. Okay, maybe a lot… like, I haven’t done a legit workout since November. But hey, there’s something about a cute outfit that can definitely help motivate you, right? One can hope.
And if not, these are still good for lazy days around the house, ironically enough.
One step at a time.
Sports bra
When I was super good about working out every day, I went through sports bras like nobody’s business. I did a lot of plyo type stuff, meaning I couldn’t wear the same bra on consecutive days, so I needed several in the rotation.
I found this one and fell in LOVE. Super cute, and I especially love the strappy back. Super cute (and functional) way to show your support for your officer!
Born Primitive Thin Blue Line sports bra, $45
Tank Tops
Unsurprisingly, these tank tops are all from Thin Blue Line USA. I can’t get enough of the fabrics they use, the length or their shirts, or the fact that they donate so much to LEO-friendly charities. Seriously, they’re an amazing company!
But, like sports bras, I go through tank tops quickly, too. Having lots on hand (especially super cute ones like these) helps a lot.
I’m personally a big fan of the shamrock one, since my husband’s such a big Notre Dame fan – so it combines two big passions 😉
Remember to use that coupon code (LOVEBLUES15) for an extra 15% off!
Flag Tank, $19.99 – Shamrock Tank, $19.99 – Mrs. Tank, $19.99
Bottoms
Who doesn’t love leggings? Seriously, whether you’re working out or binge-watching Netflix, comfy, stretchy pants are the way to go. Thin Blue Line USA unfortunately doesn’t offer leggings yet, but Amazon has a lot of surprisingly cute options that are also well-priced.
Thin Blue Line Flag Shorts, $40 – Printed Kicks Thin Blue Line Capris, $39.99
Seriously – there are so many options for outfits to show your support for law enforcement now! And the fact that you can do so so stylishly (especially when it comes to formal occasions) is pretty awesome.
Love these!!! I am not usually tempted to buy anything on fashion blog posts, but I want every single of these! Lol!
Haha! Right? Thanks for reading 😉
